While spending time online is one of the greatest ways to make money, you can’t do it for very long unless you have a comfortable working environment. Which is why it is important to know how to choose the best computer, laptop, or desktop for your needs.

First, how do you decide which type of computer to use? Well, that depends on what you do for work/fun. If you are really heavily into gaming online, you’ll need a computer with a lot of speed and really great graphics capabilities.
If on the other hand you are really into developing or web design, you’ll also want a fast computer, but you’ll need a computer with a great deal of available memory, because you’ll be using applications that require a great deal of power from your computer.

So now you know generally what to look for in a computer based on your needs. Now let’s look at whether you need a laptop or a desktop.

In the work world, having a laptop is pretty essential to your job because even though we can do almost anything online now, meeting people face to face is and always will be a major factor in getting work done and forging relationships. So if you need to make a presentation, set up a meeting, or do any of a number of different tasks that require travel, a laptop is essential.

However, many times you’ll find that you can accomplish just as much from a desktop computer, and also have the added benefit of a greater user experience and work environment.
